Debt serves as a huge stress factor amongst many individuals within America’s society. Student loans have a tremendous impact on younger individual’s lives and can affect their futures as well. Many individuals are unable to live normal lives, and are rather trapped with debt serving as a burden on their shoulders. Student loans affect about thirty-seven percent of individuals in America. For many students financial aid or private loans are the only source of payments for a higher education. Student debt inhibits graduates from spending money on personal items and consumer goods. Variables The dependent variable of this assignment is gross enrolment ratio, primary. This variable defines the enrolment of students in primary schools. This variable gives the number of students who have enrolled in primary schools for the last fifty years. This variable gives an idea about the trend of education among the citizens to the USA (Seber and Alan). This gives an idea about the interest of the citizens of the country to educate their children in the future. The next variable literacy rate is the independent variable of the assignment. This variable gives an idea about the percentage of population above seven years of age who can read and write with understanding. This rate provides an idea about the educative percentage of the countrys population. The third variable is the governments expenditure which is another independent variable of the assignment. This variable provides information about the amount of money the government of United States had spent for education over the past fifty years. This variable would help to understand the importance of education in a country. This variable would also give information about the funds spent by the government to educate the people and the trend of education of the country (Montgomery et al.). The fourth variable of the assignment, labour force with primary school (% of total) gives an idea about the percentage of students who dropped out of the primary schools. This variable would give an idea about the education of the children of the country. The drop out from the school may be due to various reasons. This could be the cause of poverty or lack of proper guidance of study (Seber and Alan). Thus, the idea of the trend of education would be known from this variable. These four variables would be used to frame a linear regression model. Hypothesis would be set in order to study the effect of the variables. Model description The model for this data set was found to be y = 65.10643 -0.00082 X1 + 2.71239 X2 -0.28907 X3. Here, y is the gross enrolment ratio, primary, X1 is the literacy rate, X2 is the governments expenditure and X3 is the labour force with primary school (% of total). From the model it can be seen that the gross enrolment ratio, primary would be 65.10643 in absence of all the factors of literacy rate, governments expenditure and labour force with primary school (% of total) (Harrell). The slope of literacy rate was seen to be decreasing. This suggests that the literacy rate of the country decreased with time. Earlier there was high literacy rate, but with time, the literacy rate had decreased. It was also seen that the literacy rate had decreased in the last year. This can be a concern for the future of the education of the country. This can be the effect of increase in population and the disruptions in the ratio between the population and education. From the model it can be seen that the slope of the governments expenditure had increased with time. This suggests that the government is willing to spend more money on education. This is a positive sign for the development of the country (Fox). This is because the more the government spends on education of the country; it would increase the literacy rate of the country. The government could develop the infrastructure of the educative institutions by investing more in education. Parents would send their children to schools and the children could have the basic education if the government provides them with funds and facilities. Thus, this is a good indication for the education of the country. The slope of the fourth variable, labour force with primary school (% of total)was found to be negative. Labour force with primary school (% of total) indicates the percentage of student who had dropped out of the school without completing their primary education (Draper and Harry). The lower the rate, the better is the education and facilities of the country. It is found that poverty or some other causes like family pressure or lack of opportunities and facilities force children to quit their primary education and support their family. This is a bad indication for the development of the country. Less is the labour force better is it for the country. In this model, it was seen that the labour force decreased with time as it shows a negative slope (Cameron and Pravin). This could be interpreted that earlier there were more number of students who left their primary education. This rate of leaving the primary education can be the affect of various reasons. This rate had decreased over t ime and it could be interpreted that the primary school dropouts had decreased over time and people send their children to primary schools to have a basic education. This is a good sign of development in the country. Interpretation of hypothesis test The value of the significant f of this test is less than the alpha level of significance of 0.05. This can be interpreted that the p value is greater than the significant f and the null hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be seen that the model is a linear model and this is the best-fit model for the data set. There was one dependent variable and three independent variables. Regression model was framed from the data set. Hypothesis was framed from the data set. This hypothesis was tested using the regression model. It was found that the model was a best-fit model. The type of dependency of the dependent variable on the independent variables was tested and it was found that the literacy rate and labour force with primary school decreased with time. This suggests that the gross enrolment rate had increased with time. But decrease in literacy rate is a concern for the government. Marvell takes for granted that his continual complimentary verse will be sufficient to win over his mistress. Walshs lover on the other hand is offering a permanent union and would appear to be a person prepared to compromise on her demands. To generally sum up each poem with a very brief description its clear that Walshs is mainly based on strong feminist ideas and that Marvells is focused on being effectively persuasive, although both poems also incorporate the poets desires, feelings and thoughts. Love, sex and marriage are the three key elements that both poems encounter, incorporate and describe in some form or another, although marriage isnt as distinctly obvious in Marvells poem as it is in Walshs. Both poets have different viewpoints on each topic and express their thoughts and feelings through poetic techniques such as imagery or personification. To us archaic language is used during both poems such as vanquished or bondslave found on lines 2 and 3 in Walshs poem, these two specific words are interesting in the way that they are much more to do with war rather than love and we would presume that such words wouldnt be utilised in a love poem. Also yonder found on line 23 in Marvells poem, is a clue that the poems are indeed old. Finally an inverted syntax or word order such as again No servant will I be which can be found on line 6 in Walshs poem or Had we but world enough which is the first line in Marvells poem symbolises old archaic poetry. In the sense of emphasis and effectiveness an inverted syntax or using monosyllabic words at the start of a paragraph can prove to be a powerful technique to use for structuring and creating an impact. This is why for example Marvells paragraphs use the words Had, But and Now; they create an impact and set the timeframe. When he uses Had in his first paragraph he is referring to the past going on to say things like We would sit down, But in the second paragraph refers to the present and again he goes on to say such things as But at my back I always hear Times wingà ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½d chariot hurrying near Finally Now indicates the future and what could or is to come whereas he says things like Now let us sport. To summarise the monosyllabic words Had, But and Now are short and simple but effective ways to set the timeframe and to create an impact on the reader simultaneously. Both poets appear to want love in their relationships. In the last paragraph of Christina Walshs poem apparently her imagination runs away and she starts to ramble on depicting her ideal marriage, repeating the keyword And in this way her paragraph becomes list-like and this could lose the interest of the reader. And our co-equal love will make the stars to laugh with joy And we shall have the music of the spheres for the bridal march And to its circling fugueà ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½ pass on, hand holding hand Until we reach the very heart of God Compared to her opening strong verse this paragraph is a weakness, leaking out signs that Walsh yearns for companionship. The language and imagery of the final lines present her ideal partnership. The first line shows her desire for passion, the second shows her lust for marriage and the third shows her wish to live and die happily with a partner at her side. It can be theorized that these longings are a sign of weakness and ultimately her feminism fails, she relinquishes the power, the authority, by showing that she is just a typical woman looking for equality, a husband and love. Her change of tone is obvious; throughout her poem she had been showing just how much of a strong, smart, independent woman she is and now she suddenly shows that what she wants is in fact alike to what every woman wants. However, there is another understanding of this section and it could be taken that without this verse she would have utterly no chance of winning her lover. Without this verse her lover m ight see her as too harsh, too demanding and might lose interest. In other words she may be revealing her feelings for the sole purpose of catching him in a trap, after all a husband was hard to come by in those days. Therefore she is either very clever or hungers for passion, the popular theory being the second option. Christina Walshs poem A Woman To Her Lover is set at a later date and is believed to have been written overall in order to teach and inform her lover that she will only love and marry him if they treat each other equally. Attitudes during the 19th Century suggested that women were definitely inferior to males and that males were the primary beings, marriages as well would have incorporated many ideas that Walsh has outlined in her poem, with the wife being like a bondslave and the husband the master, as Walsh portrays with the line As conqueror to the vanquished which basically means that Walsh sees her lover as thinking that he is the victor, he has won over her (like in a battle) and he now owns her. The fact that Walshs poem is set at a later date is important because it incorporates many ideas of women equality. A popular hypothesis is that the 18th Century movement started by one the first most famous feminists, Mary Mastell (1668-1731), influenced Walsh and her poem. The poem itself is just bursting with feminist views and that Girl Power attitude which can be easily seen in modern day society. The ideas Walsh presents in her poetry are both radical and excessive but probably helped shape the future, the present and our lives. Despite the fact that both poems are composed in a male dominated era, both females display strong indications of their intentions to remain self-ruling. This is obvious with Walsh as basically her whole poem indicates she will be her own master, proof of this comes again from the line, No servant will I be, however with Marvells lover you have to look deeper, beneath the surface and ask: Why does he need to write this poem? The fact that he needs to be so persuasive indicates that she has already been highly resistant to his previous attempts at convincing her to sleep with him. Walsh is in agreement to enter the relationship but demands as a precondition her right to retain her independence and insists on equality this is signified by lines 21-26 in her final paragraph which say, But Lover, if you ask of me That I shall be your comrade, friend, and mate, To live and work, to love and die with you, That so together we may know the purity and height Of passion, and of joy and sorrow, Then O Husband, I am yours forever The lines represent her needs and if he agrees to follow them then she will be his wife. Marvells mistress again appears content to enter into the relationship but is obviously, only prepared to be his mistress, so retaining her independence either as a single person or as a married person, unprepared to relinquish what she already has within her marriage. One difference between both women is displayed by the fact that Walsh appears prepared to give up all for an equal, permanent relationship, whereas the mistress agrees to the relationship but isnt prepared to give up her independence. When Walsh says Not for you the hand of any wakened women in a sense she is threatening her lover, frightening him with the thought that no woman with any sense would want to marry him if he stays like shes described him. She is implying in a way that all the demands she wants, any woman gifted with common sense would also want, but this is probably not true as all women arent as objective to inequality as she is, even the ones with common sense. Then she offers him a way out saying in the last paragraph But lover, if you ask of me. Then O husband, I am yours forever meaning that if he did what she asked him then she would certainly marry him, no questions asked, however not all women would provide him with this second chance. Andrew Marvell was a politician as well as a poet and so he has utilised his political abilities that we can all see practised in modern day politics, one of these abilities being the power of the word or sophisticated language, these abilities have aided the fabrication of his poem and its effectiveness. It is noticeable that he must have spent great lengths of time perfecting his poem making it as potent as possible, his success is reflected from the fact that 325 years later his poem is still recited and pondered upon. Whereas Walshs poem although successful as well has been written in free verse which is less formal as if it was wrote straight off the top of her head, still though each paragraph contains a single idea, a key thought, for example her second paragraph outlines the idea that she isnt perfect and neither is any woman. It could be seen that in some sense she implies a question and an answer in her first three verses, and it is believed that she uses verbal patterns and repetition within her paragraphs to help uphold her argument and possibly even to ridicule her lovers ideas. Certainly though, Walsh speaks more freely as if the words are spontaneous rather than decided upon like in Marvells poem. Her free verse style reflects in a way the stubbornness of her personality as if she is implying that she will write whatever she wants with no limitations set upon her from any male. Marvells verse is more manipulative in the fact that Marvell has used poetic verse and sophisticated persuasive language, as apposed to free verse, this clearly indicates his desire to impress upon the woman his intention to have her as his only soul mate. Marvell uses a huge amount of compliments in the first verse such as An age at least to every part. To try and demonstrate his love for this woman, he uses a metaphor My vegetable love should grow Vaster than empires, and more slow. However these compliments may have an alternate purpose rather than to just express his feelings of love, he may just be trying to get her to have sex with him. After all he even calls this woman in his title Mistress which basically means a bit on the side, this could be a mistake on his part, showing his true intentions. Another possible mistake is when he says, An hundred years should go to praise Thine eyes, and on thy forehead gaze, Two hundred to adore each breast, But thirty thousand to the rest In other words he is saying that he is more interested in her body than her face and eyes, showing he is just like the average man. Although he could be aware of this mistake and making it on purpose in order to show his mistress he is normal (a heterosexual red-blooded male). Even if he isnt he says it in such an inoffensive way that he still appears considerate, smart and loving. Marvell also uses threatening language to try and persuade his mistress to have sex with him by using frightening thoughts and a phallic image. Thy beauty shall no more be found, Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound My echoing song; then worms shall try That long preserved virginity, And your quaint honour turn to dust, And into ashes all my lust In these lines he is foretelling and threatening that she will die someday and when she does, she will lose her looks, she wont hear his compliments any more because she will be in her grave rotting and her hard conserved dignity will be wasted anyway when the worms infest her vagina. Quaint in the context of Marvells poem could be referred to as a pun, meaning female private parts which is interesting because nowadays we dont use quaint in the same way as it was used back then. In modern day we utilise it as an adjective not as a noun meaning appealing or pretty. When Marvell says, And your quaint honour turned to dust and And into ashes all my lust he is using images of death because we all know the famous line ashes to ashes, dust to dust that is said at the end of a funeral when someone has passed on. Overall this threat is very effective because apparently this woman has a high self-respect from the fact that she hasnt had intercourse with him yet and so the phallic image would be very disturbing to her, also every woman is afraid of losing her looks and finally everybody is afraid of dying. Both poets have structured their poems not just for coherency but also for impact and effect in addition. I consider Walshs poem is less structured than Marvells since her poem is written in free verse. Walshs poem has verses jumping from one idea to another almost as if she was brainstorming while writing her poem. The structure her poem follows starts with a strong rhetorical question opening, I can tell it is rhetorical because she doesnt give her lover time to respond if she was saying this to him and there is no question mark. Do you come to me to bend me to your will As conqueror to the vanquished To make of me a bondslave To bear you children, wearing out my life In drudgery and silence No servant will I be If that be what you ask, O Lover I refuse you When she says No servant will I be it is as if she is putting her foot down and stamping in her authority without this line being inverted it would unquestionably lose effect. Her next two verses deny the possibilities that she thinks her lover could believe, and the last verse starting But Lover, if you ask of me, But being the keyword, basically says do this and I will live, work and die with you, etc. It is interesting how she repeats the last line of the first verse at the end of the second only changing O, Lover to Fool maybe both lines are exactly the same in her eyes and she is trying to imply that both words convey the same meaning which is an intriguing philosophy. This clearly distinguishes the manner in which she conveys her lover or possibly even all men. She may be trying to say that although he may love her hes foolish for what he believes he will be entitle to in the marriage, she wont settle unless theres equality. She seems to display symptoms of anger through the course of her poem and clearly her views upon marriage differ greatly from Marvells. Marvell describes marriage as a sport and many interpret this as him seeing and believing marriage as a union between two loving individuals who work as a team to sustain the relationship between each other and uphold the moral of the unity. Although some could argue that Marvell was really referring to sex when he said this as in sport meaning play together, one possibility is that he was linking to both ideas at the same time as in have sex and get married. However Walshs view on marriage is much more realistic, stereotypical and cynical, or it has the potential to be she strongly believes marriage as a burden rather than a pleasure, proof of this belief comes from lines 3 to 5 in her first verse: To make of me a bondslave To bear you children, wearing out my life In drudgery and silence On the other hand though she still wishes or so it seems to experience marriage. Maybe she doesnt truly believe that it is all that bad, or maybe she believes she can manipulate her lover so that the marriage is as she wants it to be, or maybe she doesnt care and only wants marriage for the sole purpose of enslaving her husband who she will reel in by the romantic and fantastical language she uses in her last paragraph. Whatever the fact may be from the last paragraph third to last line And we shall have the music of the spheres for the bridal march we can see her fantasising about what every woman dreams a beautiful wedding dress, harmonic music, everyone watching you with adoring eyes and a loving handsome husband to greet you at the end of the walkway, scheming or hoping she wants a wedding. In comparison with Marvells poem its apparent that both poems could be schemes since their true purposes arent fully revealed and appear concealed as if behind a smoke screen. This applies mor e so to Marvells poem as he actually makes flaws as outlined earlier in the link when he states, An hundred years should go to praise Thine eyes, and on thy forehead gaze, Two hundred years to adore each breast Implying he is more interested in the beauty of her body rather than her face. From the openings of Marvells verses Had we but world enough, and time, But at my back I always hear and Now therefore, while the youthful hue. The keywords being Had, But and Now it is apparent that Marvell is basically saying: If we had enough time then I would love you forever, adore every inch of you, etc. But we cant because we will eventually die and all your efforts to preserve your virginity will be in vein. So why dont we enjoy the time we have together while youve still got your looks. This structure is supportive of what Marvell wishes. However what Marvell wishes is arguable, in his last paragraph he gives the impression that he wants sex more than he wants marriage. He uses passionate lines such as And while thy willing soul transpires At every pore with instant fires, instant fires apart from having its passionate link in the poem has another purpose he links it with Rather at once our time devour Than languish in his slow-chapt power. In other words he is offering, or saying it is better to come together, have sex and use our time in an instant of passion, intimacy and love rather than letting time slowly take our lives and deteriorate us. He personifies time twice once in his last paragraph saying his slow-chapt power and once in his second paragraph saying Times wingà ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½d chariot hurrying near a popular hypothesis is that he does this to make death seem more menacing as if it isnt just a natural occurrence but an actual, real person trying to kill you. The implication he makes from referring to time is that their time is limited. From his opening statement this can be seen in his initial line Had we but world enough, and time. Probably the reaction his lover would emit referring to this opening would be mostly concern about how much time she really has left. Which is the desired reaction although he might put her through a mid-life crisis. Whereas Marvell implies that time is hurrying near and limited, even using the image of death in a wingà ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½d chariot which is upholding his view that death comes fast. This contrasts greatly with Walshs view that time is slow and marriage is for a lifetime. Proof of this theory can be found in her initial paragraph in which she refers to herself as being made into a bondslave, the word slave implies that a relationship in marriage would be a lengthy commitment. Further to this reference to bearing children, wearing out my life leads us to believe that she foresees herself as enduring a long mundane marriage as she strongly implies more than one child is involved. The last paragraph indicates her feelings that the partnership will last forever, phrases to support this deduction are I am yours forever and Until we reach the very heart of God. Which shows that she firmly believes they will be together forever even in heaven in the afterlife, it also shows her possible desire for a permanent relationship. There is a distinct similarity between the poems. Both poets display unlimited devotion to their partners but in slightly differing ways. Marvell is obsessed with the limited time he foresees that he will have with his partner whereas Walsh continually refers to a life long union with her partner. Alternatively it could be seen that Walshs lover is more devoted to her than she is to him simply because the possibility arises that he may have had to convince her that he is the right person for her. At the onset of the poem, contained within the text are indications that she is prepared to enter into the relationship that he proposes from his desire to be with her but she makes it clear that she has no intention of being oppressed, she will not compromise. However with Marvells poem it appears to be completely one-sided. He continually talks about his emotions and desire for her but its questionable that the feeling of devotion is mutual. As his mistress she maybe a single person in whi ch case she appears to be happy with a casual relationship or on the other hand if she is married she is obviously not prepared to give up what she already has just to be with him. Bearing in mind the male dominated era, one poem displays an acceptance of equality whereas the other shows a definite need for an adjustment to equality in order for both relationships to work. Using a simile Marvell compares himself and his lover as to amorous birds of prey. Most birds of prey are together in a pair dominant but often remain together for their entire lives and take equal responsibility for the upbringing of any offspring. This indicates an acceptance by him that he and his mistress are on an equal footing as in a marriage. In contrast Walshs lover seems to be treating her, in her own words A creature who will no greater joy Than gratify your clamorous desire indicating that she is a timid lesser being prepared to pander to his every desire. She refutes his allegation and redresses the situation by clearly stating that this turn of events will not occur. Her sentence that has been commented on before Not for you the hand of any wakened woman of our time also puts into perspective her demands that the relationship will only work if its on an equal basis, as in a partnership. She also describes his love as clamorous which means noisy or clumsy. It would appear that she feels he hasnt given full consideration to her desires and to coin a phrase he hasnt looked before hes leapt. In her third verse she uses a sibilant, semantic group of words to play on his perception that she can be manipulated in the marriage this group includes the words skin, soft, supple, sense and possibly caresses. Another reason she uses the sibilant group of words is so that she can quickly dismiss this possibility that she can be manipulated by the use of a list of three, hard contrasting descriptive words, Oh shame, and pity and abasement, which shows just how objective to this inequality she actually is. A final reason why she uses the sibilant semantic field and the three hard contrasting words is so that she can impress upon him her unique individuality and strong self-ruling personality. In conclusion both poets display clear similarities and differences in their viewpoints, such as previously described about how Marvell implies time will eventually run out Had we but world enough, and time compared to how Walsh believes they have an eternity I am yours forever, the keyword there being forever, as do their partners such as outlined before when I explained that both are being selfish in their own ways, Walshs lover seems to demand for inequality and Marvells mistress will not give up her virginity, and in contrast widely diverse views on what they perceive the principles of love, sex and marriage to be about. The structure of the poems is such that their views are portrayed in an abundantly clear fashion to their lovers utilising widely diverse and occasionally complex use of what we know as the old archaic English language.

They are considered government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) because Congress authorized their creation and established their public purposes. Together, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are the largest sources of housing finance in the United States. Then-Comptroller General David Walker stated in Senate testimony that â€Å"[A] single housing GSE regulator could be more independent, objective, efficient and effective than separate regulatory bodies and could be more prominent than either one alone. We believe that valuable synergies could be achieved and expertise in evaluating GSE risk management could be shared more easily within one agency.† Subprime Mortgage Crisis A subprime mortgage crisis occurred in the United States between 2007–2010, in part as a result of a weakening economy but also as a housing bubble which had pushed housing prices higher and higher collapsed. Houses were large, their price tags steep, but mortgages were inexpensive and easy to get, and the prevailing real estate theory was that it was smart to buy (much) more house than you needed because it was a solid investment. If they wanted, buyers could refinance or sell the house because the price would be higher than when it was purchased.   Fannie and Freddies concentrated exposure to US residential mortgages, coupled with their high leverage, turned out to be a recipe for disaster. When the inevitable crash in home prices occurred, it created an associated spike in mortgage defaults, and Fannie and Freddie were holding hundreds of thousands of underwater home mortgages- people owed more, in some cases far more, on their houses than the houses were worth. That situation contributed greatly to the 2008 recession.   Collapse and Bailout By mid-2008, the two firms had expanded to almost $1.8 trillion in combined assets and $3.7 trillion in combined net off-balance sheet credit guarantees. Over the same period, however, they posted $14.2 billion in losses and their combined capital only amounted to about 1 percent of their exposure to mortgage risks. Despite efforts in the summer of 2008 to prop up the failing GSEs (the Housing and Economic Recovery Act on July 30 temporarily gave the US Treasury unlimited investment authority), by Sept. 6, 2008, the GSEs held or guaranteed $5.2 trillion dollars in home mortgage debt.   On Sept. 6, the Federal Housing Finance Agency placed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into conservatorship, taking control of the two firms, and entering into senior preferred stock purchase agreements with each institution. The U.S. taxpayer ultimately paid a $187 billion bailout to the two GSEs.  Ã‚   One stipulation to the bailout was that going forward the quality of housing loans backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had to improve. Investigations by economists Dongshin Kim and Abraham Park reported in 2017 indicate that the quality of post-crisis loans is indeed higher, particularly in the requirements on the levels of debt-to-income (DTI) ratio, and credit scores (FICO). At the same time, loan-to-value (LTV) requirements had been loosened since 2008, allowing a steady increase in the number of first-time home buyer loans.   Recovery By 2017, Fannie and Freddie had paid back $266 billion to the US Treasury, making their bailout a tremendous success; and the housing market has recovered. However, Kim and Park suggest that continued monitoring of the quality of the mortgages would be prudent. While FICO and DTI are indicators of the borrowers ability to pay their mortgages on time, the LTV is an indication of the borrowers willingness to pay. The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration Essay The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) is an agency of the Government of the Philippines responsible for opening the benefits of the overseas employment program of the Philippines. It is the main government agency assigned to monitor and supervise recruitment agencies in the Philippines. The POEAs office is located at EDSA corner Ortigas Avenue, Mandaluyong City, Philippines. The POEA has an organizational structure with the POEA Governing Board at the top. The Secretary of Labor and Employment heads the Governing Board, and the POEA Administrator as vice-chairman and representatives from the private, women, sea-based and land-based sectors as members. The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration was established in 1982 through Executive Order No. 797. The goal of the agencys establishment was to promote and monitor the overseas employment of Filipino workers. On the first day, she’s quite excited and nervous of what she’ll do on the company and on what department or division we’ll she assigned. On the next day, the trainee deployed on her respective department together with her two co-trainees, she was assigned at the â€Å"Cash Division†. This department’s job is divided into two: first, the department collects payment of OFW’s, agencies other contractor connected to POEA, secondly the department also assigned in releasing of checks. It’s superior because the trainee was assigned based on her path. Before the trainee does the entire job, her person in charge, well-informed first before they allowed performing what operation she’ll have to do. On the first week, she was also assigned to balance and record to the journal the collection report per collecting officer. They do this job weekly. After balancing and recording, the trainee encode the collection report in the course of which it includes; HDMF, BMAD, OWWA, PHILHEALTH. But regularly, the trainee performed releasing of checks, answering phone calls, receiving vouchers and recording those checks by its nature from the office n charge (OIC) unto General fund (salaries of employees), MDS Trust (claimants), LBP trust (payments for the service rendered by POEA). She was also assigning to photocopy some documents, filing the vouchers of the clients and designate to sign the clients on the voucher for the proof that the checks have been received. Regarding the participation, the trainee participate as a cashier 1 on the dep artment when the time comes that some employees are not present. She acts as a cashier because there are a lot of OFW’s who made their payments on their department. During the training at POEA, the trainee learned to interact with other people especially to her co-trainees came from different States, Universities Colleges. We know that people have different characteristics and attitudes; however making friends with the trainee’s co-workers doesn’t make difficult. From the interaction the trainee made with them, the later learned to work with patience. She also learned from her co-worker’s experiences and mistakes and applies them whenever she needed it. The setting also on the department get pleasure from her employer’s because the entire person above her was so accommodating, supportive and concerned to her. They also encourage the trainee to go on with her studies until she become a professional. It was a good experienced for her to train her ability on the POEA. The trainee also well-read how to be converted into a hardworking person and be on time, pursue the policy and information that are specified to them. All of what she learned in the company will brought her sooner or later, especially when she’s on a veracity of employment. And she’s so grateful that at least in some way, for a short period of time, she became a part of the company (POEA). Recommendation to the Company The company created a good service to their clients and gave the best training for the students. The trainee highly recommends to the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration to increase their employees/ manpower in every division. We all know that almost thousands of people, especially OFW’s reports and go to the company. The trainee easily observed that the company must focus in terms of their manpower so that they must attain their general objectives which assigned as quickly as they can monitor and supervise recruitment agencies in the Philippines. Recommendation to the School Based on what she have experienced, it’s hard to have an on the job training in far places because it’s too exhausting and costly, for the reason that most of the companies doesn’t offer salary or allowance for their student trainees. That’s why they have to shoulder all the expenses from foods, house up to the other essential that they need. What can she recommend is that, they should allow students to have their on the job training within Cavite because she believe that it is more progressive than before. There are lots of big companies and banks now that can also help students to develop their ability and comprehension and be more competitive someday.

Love and Hate Depicted in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice The Merchant of Venice is a play both about love and hate. Shakespeare illustrates the theme of hate most prominently through the prejudices of both Christians and Jews and their behaviour towards one another. The theme of love is shown amongst the Christians, in the love of friendship and marital love. The themes are emphasised in the settings of the play, Belmont symbolising love and Venice symbolising hate. As well as this the immorality of various characters can be seen in their motives for love and hate. The entire play is centred around racial prejudices between Christians and Jews and their hate for one another. In The Merchant of Venice Shylock, the Jew, is characterised as the scapegoat, just as the Jewish have been throughout history. Shylock's prejudice and dislike for the Christians is largely based on their mistreatment of him: "Signior Antonio, many a time and oft in the Rialto you have rated me about my moneys and my usences: still have I borne it with a patient shrug, for sufferance is the badge of all our tribe. You call me misbeliever, cut-throat dog. And spit upon my Jewish gaberdine, and all for use of that which is mine own." (Shylock- 1,3,102-9) Shylock feels the wrath of an unequal society and is frustrated by it: "Hath not a Jew eyes? Hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? Fed with the same food, hurt with the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as a Christian is?" (Shylock- 3,1,54-60) Shylock's hatred for the Christians is what causes him to pursue his revenge on Antonio. Shakespeare often incorporated the themes of love and hate in his plays, either as the main plot, or a sub plot as such in The Merchant of Venice. Love and Hate are the backbone of the main plot, collectively they hold the story together.

Raquel Browning, a private investigator, sat at the window and watched him walk past. His head was lowered, and his right hand held his overcoat fixed firmly against the wind. She watched him until he was out of her range of sight, then she picked up the telephone. Across the river, on the other side of town, the phone rang once, then again before Mrs Clifford reached over and placed the receiver next to her ear. â€Å"Hello,† she said tentatively. â€Å"I have some news,† came the response from Raquel. â€Å"Go ahead,† Mrs Clifford said as she closed the parlour door. â€Å"He spent the night in a hotel named ‘The Lion's Den' with a brunette woman whose name was ‘Laura'. They dined earlier in the hotel restaurant before retiring to their room. He left at nine o'clock this morning.† â€Å"Is that all?† Mrs Clifford asked. â€Å"Yes, that is all Ma'am; I will have another update soon.† Mrs Clifford listened as the phone was hung up on the other end, and then replaced the receiver. She glanced at the painting on the wall above her. It was of Patrick when he was a little younger. His eyes seemed to pierce hers, and for a second, she almost felt guilty about having him followed. Raquel caught up with him a few blocks from the hotel. As she was trained, she stayed out of his view. She watched as he entered a coffee shop, and then entered the shop after two more people had gone in. She found a table close to Patrick and listened to him order a cappuccino, then the rustle of the newspaper pages as he read it. He didn't seem to be going anywhere, so she ordered an orange juice. After ten minutes, Raquel saw Laura, the woman he had spent the night with, walk into the coffee shop, and after glancing behind her at the street, slide into the seat beside Patrick. â€Å"Were you followed?† Raquel heard Patrick say. â€Å"No,† replied Laura. After that, Patrick and Laura became seemingly oblivious to the world, and started kissing. Raquel rose, paid for her orange juice, and exited the shop. Once she was outside, she crossed the street, turned and took out her camera. She took a quick series of photos of Patrick and Laura, and then put away the camera. Mrs Clifford would be happy she thought, well, as happy as possible. She had proof now, and that's what Mrs Clifford had paid her for. She went home, developed the photos, and placed them in a blank envelope. She addressed the envelope, and then posted the letter. ‘A job well done', the Private Investigator thought as she tucked her hands into her pockets and started to walk home. Mrs Clifford opened the envelope, and pulled out the photographs. There were six in total, all showing Patrick and Laura in various stages of canoodling. Mrs Clifford's face darkened as she looked at each one. ‘How could he? In public?' she thought as the maid, Jenkins walked into the room. She hastily pushed the photographs into the envelope again. The last thing she needed was the staff to be talking about this. â€Å"Tea, Mrs Clifford?† asked Miss Jenkins. â€Å"Yes, Thankyou.† Miss Jenkins poured the tea into a bone china teacup and handed it to Mrs Clifford. Mrs Clifford pulled the photographs out of the envelope again, as Miss Jenkins left the room, and looked at them as she sipped her tea. Mrs Clifford recognised this woman ‘Laura'. She worked in Patrick's office. The photographs were not enough. She needed to know more. Mrs Clifford picked up the telephone and dialled. â€Å"Browning Private Investigators,† Raquel answered the phone. â€Å"Good Afternoon. It's Mrs Clifford.† â€Å"Good Afternoon Mrs Clifford. I trust you received the photographs? How can I help you?† â€Å"I received the photographs, and they were good, but now I need more.† â€Å"More, Mrs Clifford?† The Private Investigator asked. â€Å"Yes, more. I need to know more about Patrick and this ‘Laura' woman. I will pay you double the amount I payed you last time.† â€Å"Mrs Clifford, I would be pleased to help you,† Raquel responded. She listened as Mrs Clifford said, â€Å"Well then we're settled,† and hung up. The private investigator wouldn't have taken this job for just anyone, but Mrs Clifford had money to burn, and the private investigator had a hole in her pocket. She grabbed her backpack which had all of her equipment in it, and set off to find Patrick. Raquel found him an hour later, in a shopping mall. He was in a lingerie store, but she couldn't see Laura anywhere. She continued to watch as Patrick looked through all the different things that the shop had to sell. She was taking pictures of this when Laura appeared from one of the change rooms. She walked over to Patrick and exchanged some words, and then Patrick gave her a lacy outfit to try on, kissed her, and left the store. The private investigator was still snapping photographs when he stopped at a jewellery store. She continued taking photographs as he walked up to the counter, and briefly spoke to the saleswoman. The saleswoman disappeared into a back room, and the private investigator stopped taking photographs to replace the film. Once she had done that, she started taking photographs as the saleswoman reappeared with a box in her hand. The saleswoman opened the box revealing a diamond ring. Patrick nodded, and then paid. The private investigator smiled. Mrs Clifford would be happy with her work. She left, and posted the photographs. Mrs Clifford answered the door when Patrick arrived. He had Laura with him. Mrs Clifford already knew what she was about to hear, thanks to the private investigator. She wasn't sure she liked it, but she really had no choice in the matter. She waited for Patrick to say something, and when it came, it was not a surprise. â€Å"Hi mother,† he said, â€Å"I'd like to introduce my fiancà ¯Ã‚ ¿Ã‚ ½e, Laura.† Mrs Clifford smiled as she welcomed her son and future daughter-in-law inside.

Stating this proves that it schools are a in the epidemic. The epidemic is increasing and part of it rising is the schools fault. There are thousands and thousands of children who become obese from eating school lunch. School lunches are very high in the calories. Their lunches are very unhealthy. It doesn't only make children become obese or overweight. It also ruins their health, and that is very bad. Also according to the mnn. om website â€Å"those who regularly ate the school lunch were 29 percent more likely to become obese that those who packed their own. † By learning this we know children who eat lunch has a greater percent to becoming obese. Also learning this proves that school lunch is very unhealthy. Therefore I think schools should pay attention to how their school lunch affects a child's weight. Vending machines and chool stores sell too much high calorie snacks and drinks. This needs to stop because this is another reason why childhood obesity increases from sc hools.I think the vending machines and the school stores need to have healthier snacks and drinks. President Obama says â€Å"Removing unhealthy high-calorie snacks and drinks from schools is a important step toward tackling the nation's childhood obesity epidemic. † What president Obama is basically saying is that removing snacks and drinks will help to lessen childhood obesity in America. Removing is way to lessen our big trouble with children weight. Removing unhealthy snacks and drinks could give America to decrease childhood obesity.Also president Obama said â€Å"the sale of unhealthy high-calorie snacks and drinks in school vending machines undermines these etto rts to ensure access to healthy and nutritious t in schools † Basically president Obama is trying to say selling these high calorie snacks and drinks is not supporting the decrease in childhood obesity schools should not sell unhealthy things to children. I think schools need healthier lunch because children's weight can be decreased.I also think he high calorie snacks and drinks need to be lessened in vending machines and school stores. I also think there should be more physical activities its easy and its fun. Childhood obesity need to b decreased now and schools can help. This law makes any crimes like this a felony, in hopes of protecting household pets from these violent individuals. When an 18 month old tabby cat was doused with kerosene and burned to death by a Schenectady teenager in 1997 it brought up major discussions about what should be done in these types of cases dealing with animal cruelty. Busters Law was named after this cat, Busters Law is also known as the Felony Animal Cruelty Law, this felony if brought on a person is punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Before this Law was put into action the punishment for such an act was a misdemeanor conviction and a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
